BF-109G-6 BLACK 8 GREEN HEARTS 1:18 JG-54 1:18 Scale
21st Century Toys Ultimate Soldier Xtreme Detail

During World War II, the Bf 109 (me 109) was the backbone of the Luftwaffe fighter force, serving on all fronts and also in the air forces of its European allies. Even though the superior FW 190 began to replace the Bf 109 in some units as early as the summer of 1941, production of the Bf 109 actually rose until the closing months of the war and it remained the most numerous Luftwaffe Fighter. By war's end, Germany had built over 30,000 Bf 109's. Production of the Bf 109 continued on after the war in Czechoslovakia until 1949 and in Spain until 1958. It remains to this day the most produced fighter in history.

Offered here is the 1:18 scale 21st Century Toys Ultimate Soldier Xtreme Detail Messerschmitt BF-109G-6 "Black 8" flown by Unteroffizier Günther Sahl in JG 54 "Grünherz" (Green Hearts) of the German Luftwaffe during World War II. (The blue fuselage-band indicates the plane was used in the Defense of the Reich during 1944-1945.) "Black 8" was lost on April 9, 1944 over northern Germany, near Rastorf-Holstein. Uffz. Sahl was killed during this mission.

This beautifully detailed plane comes with a drop tank and machine guns. The propeller spins, the canopy opens and closes, and the landing gear drops and retracts. Also included is a highly detailed pilot with moveable arms and legs. Swastika decals are included so that you can make your plane historically accurate if you choose to do so.

This model is SOLD OUT at the manufacturer and OUT OF PRODUCTION. Both pilot and plane are mint and brand new in an unopened 21st Century box.
