FAREWELL THE HOOD by Simon Atack
Overall Print Sizes: 31¼" x 23½"
Edition Size: 500
HMS Hood, pride of the Royal Navy, steams majestically through the Swept Channel departing Scapa Flow on May 22, 1941. In only a few days the Hood encountered the mighty German battleship Bismarck in the Denmark Straits. In the exchange of fire Bismarck's second and third salvoes made direct hits on Hood. Her magazines exploded and the giant battleship sank in minutes, taking all but three of her crew of 1420 sailors with her.
