The HMS Hood was a Hood-class battle cruiser that was launched on August 22, 1918 and commissioned on May 15, 1920. The battleship was 860 feet long, 105 feet wide, and displaced 48,360 tons of water when fully loaded. The ship's complement was 94 officers and 1,324 enlisted.
The HMS Hood was sunk on May 24, 1941 by gunfire from the KMS Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. Of the Hood's crew, only THREE escaped alive!
