Also known as "The Galloping Ghost of the Java Coast," the Houston was launched on September 7, 1929 and commissioned on June 17, 1930. It was 600 feet long, 66 feet wide, and displaced 9,300 tons. Its main armament was nine 8-inch/55-caliber guns. The USS Houston fought in World War II and was sunk on March 1, 1942 at the battle of Sunda Strait. This beautiful, mint condition print measures 11" x 17" and is personally signed and dated by the artist.
