Launched on August 27, 1942 and commissioned on February 22, 1943, the USS Iowa earned nine battle stars in World War II service and two for Korean service. The Iowa was finally decommissioned on October 27, 1990. The battleship displaced 57,000 tons and was 887 feet long; the main armament was nine 16-inch guns. In outstanding detail with both a top view and side profile, the USS Iowa is shown here as outfitted in 1986. This beautiful, mint condition print measures 11" x 17" and is personally signed and dated by the artist.
