The P-51 Mustang has been called the finest fighter aircraft of World War II. This P-51 "Sizzlin' Liz" flown by Major Gerald Montgomery of the Fourth Fighter Group, catches a German locomotive out in the open and he and his wingman sweep in for the attack. The print is countersigned by Colonel DON BLAKESLEE, high scoring ace and commander of the Fourth Fighter Group who holds the record for the most combat hours flown by any American during World War II, and by MR. DON ALLEN, Crew Chief and one of the most famous aircraft nose artists of World War II. (Mr. Allen painted the nose art depicted in "RAILROADED".)
